As representatives of Cosby High School, cheerleaders enhance a positive school climate by exhibiting leadership skills, such as respect for individual differences, building consensus, academic excellence, and modeling appropriate behaviors at all times, both in and away from school. Cheerleaders are expected to be mentally and physically fit and athletically skilled in the field of cheerleading. They are first and foremost representatives of Cosby High School. Because of these responsibilities, members of the cheerleading program will be expected to maintain a higher standard of behavior than that of their peers. In or out of uniform, cheerleaders are representatives of the cheerleading program and the school.
